Waves of sleep

"I live within hearing distance of the Southern Ocean, and fall asleep to the sound of the waves every night, and wake up to them every morning. I was inspired by Marcel's recording of waves on a Penang beach, and wanted to let their sound take the listener on a journey into the depths of sleep by stretching and twisting the recording and bringing out the harmonics 'sleeping' within the sounds of the waves just as time is stretched, twisted and harmonised when we sleep, before reassembling itself into the original sound of the waves as we re-emerge into the waking world."
