Subaquatic daydream

"After choosing my audio recording, I created a background drone with a coastal/nautical feel to accompany the field recording in some way…
I imagined what it might be like to be suspended in the sub aquatic world… I used a synthesiser that uses granular synthesis to create the drone and textures.
I especially liked the little pops and squeaks in the underwater hydrophone recording, I visualised sea flora and fauna, waves and bubbles… so tried to emulate these with the synth;
I also created 3 audio loops of the field recording that ran at:
quarter speed
half speed
original speed
These were played through several reverb and delay effects chains to add to the sub aquatic feel. Finally all elements were composited to create the finished track."
