Charity Chief Exec's Customer Update 16 September 2023
Season 2, Episode 134, Sep 16, 2023, 08:00 AM
Each week we sit down with Matt Stringer, CEO of RNIB, to look at some of the big stories coming from the UK sight loss charity.
This week Matt began by telling RNIB Connect Radio’s Toby Davey about the record-breaking number of responses to the railway ticket office closure consultation, over 680,000 responses were submitted and the deadline for the government to review the responses has been extended to 31 October and great support this week in parliament by MP’s sharing the impact the closures will have on their blind and partially sighted constituents.
Then an update on the regular joint VI Sector Group quarterly meetings which was hosted earlier this week by Thomas Pocklington Trust.
Matt ended this week’s update with news that the RNIB’s London office, the Grimaldi Building has been nominated for a Civic Trust Building Award which is great news in recognising all the work that went in to making the building as accessible as possible to blind and partially sighted people and people with a wide range of disabilities.
