A night chorus

Sep 10, 2023, 12:42 PM

"This piece is built on top of a nocturnal insect drone, and takes its rhythm from the insect chorus’s irregular cycles of pulses and swells. Those insect rhythms can be simultaneously soothing and a little unsettling, and the result is a piece that feels languid and sleepy even as it is also pulsating with the sounds of nocturnal activity."

Grand Bornand soundscape reimagined by John Savarese.
