IPEC Presents Episode 1: Richard Canevez

Welcome to IPEC Presents! Our podcast features research from the Institute for Policy, Ethics and Culture at Michigan Tech, a public research university in Houghton, MI. Each episode of IPEC Presents is dedicated to discussing the research our institute conducts in service of policy engagement, and teaching that address the ethical and cultural challenges, implication, and strategies unique to the emerging techno cultural environment. 

Michigan Technological University was founded in 1885. We overlook the Keweenaw Waterway and join in community with the stewards of this land since time immemorial, the Ojibwa peoples. In our co-presence, we carry forward a commitment to listening, to allyship, and to joint stewardship.

In today’s (first ever!) episode of IPEC Presents, our guest Dr. Richard Canevez discusses his rising academic career and research as an executive committee member and research area lead. Rich is a multi-talented professional whose expertise draws on multiple disciplinary backgrounds, including philosophy, information sciences and technology, artificial intelligence, and communication.
