A kmfm listener has started the bank holiday weekend by winning £1,000.
The Kent Radio Station's competition 'Thousand Pound Friday' invites listeners to enter via text or online from Thursday at 6pm, when a winner at random is announced 24 hours later.
Following thousands of entries, Drivetime presenter Rob Wills made the call to Maria Lockwood from Parkwood Maidstone.
Maria's daughter, Emily answered the phone as mum was clearing up after dinner, and did not realise why Rob was calling, until Emily asked her, "Why is kmfm calling you?" Maria then instantly took over the call to talk to Rob and was shocked she had won.
