Humanitarian workers honored.

The skills and efforts of aid workers globally, are celebrated annually on August 19. Established by the UN in 2009, this day commemorates death of 22 people, including the UN’s High Commissioner for Human Rights, who lost their lives when the United Nations headquarters in Iraq was bombed.
Many more humanitarian workers have continued losing their lives in the line of duty, due to insecurity in different parts of the world.
