Season 2, Episode 91,   Aug 16, 2023, 12:00 PM

A fun time was had by many young blind and partially sighted people at the Royal Society for Blind Children’s Percussion Play Workshop held at there Life Without Limits Centre in central London on Wednesday 9 August 2023 and RNIB Connect Radio’s Toby Davey was there chatting with some of the young blind and partially sighted people taking part in the workshop and some of the people who made the workshop happen.

This is the second RSBC Percussion Play workshop continuing the close collaboration between the Royal Society for Blind Children and outdoor musical instrument manufacturer Percussion Play building on feedback from young blind and partially sighted people from the previous workshop, helping to continue to ensure that the instruments and outdoor music playing is as accessible as possible for blind and partially sighted people.

Toby began by chatting with Eliza one of RSBC’s Community Support Officers who is also visually impaired and a budding singer too, then to Jude a young visually impaired musician and singer with his Mum before catching up with RSBC’s Chief Executive Sue Sharp and Percussion Play’s Managing Director Jody Ashfield. There is also some great description and demonstration of some of the Percussion Play instruments by Christine too.
