Ministry of Petroleum seeks alternative routes to maintain oil production levels

The minister of Petroleum says the government is looking at alternative ways to maintain oil production levels, due to the conflict in Sudan. Minister Puot Kang confirms that production stands at 170,000 barels per day – despite the conflict. Kang, speaking on Radio Miraya earlier today, said the government is considering using Port Mombasa in Kenya and Port of Djibouti as alternatives to Port Sudan - to bring in the chemicals and supplies needed to produce oil.
