The continued war in Sudan has left most of its citizens with no option but to seek refuge beyond the borders of the country.  Many of them include artists who have fled their studios and galleries in the capital.  Amid the violence, many fear that the war will destroy the city’s art scene, driven mostly by artists who were part of the 2019 pro-democracy revolution.

Some of the artists who managed to cross into South Sudan include Abo Oneida Mahmoud Hasan Ali and Omer Abdelrheem Salih who talk about their experience with the conflict and their upcoming performance alongside South Sudanese artists at The Baobab House tomorrow afternoon to promote love and peace in the two Sudans.
