"14,000 Knees" by Greg Chandler

The dark days of Ahab and Jezebel demonstrated how far Israel had fallen into wickedness. Unsurprisingly, the righteous prophet Elijah felt alone in his desire to serve God. However, God informed him that there were 7,000 who had not bowed the knee to Baal. This ancient account is very helpful for modern readers witnessing a further plunge into darkness. It shows that those who take God seriously can be a part of the faithful remnant. After comparing ancient and modern times, we will learn how the people of God can keep faith intact, though in the minority.
