Alice Findlay, RNIB Customer Voice Insight Coordinator shares the latest opportunities for blind and partially sighted people to get involved in with RNIB Connect Radio’s Toby Davey.
Opportunities highlighted this week included:
RNIB Voice of the Customer Focus Groups
RNIB is looking for blind and partially sighted people from across the UK to share their voice as part of a series of insight focus groups which will help shape the work of RNIB.
In the next series of focus groups, the RNIB will be focusing on your experience of services and support you have received since diagnosis.
The focus groups will take place via Microsoft Teams, or alternatively you can use your phone and the Team can call you into the meeting.
The next focus groups take place on:
Thursday 11 May & Tuesday 23 May 2023 from 10am – 12.15pm
And Tuesday 6 June & Tuesday 20 June 2023 from 5.30pm – 7.45pm.

Registration is now open for Metro Blind Sports Athletics Open 2023!
Now in its 45th year, Metro Blind Sport will be welcoming athletes of all ages, abilities, and experience, throughout the UK to join them in London for their annual Athletics Open competition.
The event is the perfect opportunity for blind and partially sighted people to take part in a professionally organised athletics event. The event will have official starters, scorers and judges, as well as commentary for the event.
Whether you’re a seasoned pro or new to sport, the Athletics Open is the perfect platform to compete and connect with likeminded people in a supportive and inclusive atmosphere. Better still, it is FREE to attend.
The Athletics Open will be taking place on Saturday 24 June. And there will also be a Fun, Games and Picnic Day following the Athletics Open on Sunday 25 June. Both events will be taking place at the Mile End Stadium, London E3 4HL.
