South Sudan has been put on high alert over the impending flooding in the second quarter of the year. Researchers said the heavy rains, which are expected to start in June, may lead to a serious hunger crisis with less farm output expected to come out in most East African countries this year. Speaking to Sani Martin on Miraya’s Nationwide programme Nicholas Kerandi, the Head of Food Security and Nutrition at the UN Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO), said the people of South Sudan should not worry than much after all.
