Lagoon of secrets

"Hearing the original field recording from Venice, I was inspired by the sounds we can hear by the water. They are distant, transfixed and deformed to some extend. What if we would send these deformed sounds to be listened to by another water? And another? So I was wondering about sound travels, and it's deformations along the way. 

"My approach to the reimagined track was based on these thoughts. I manipulated the chosen samples from the source track, to accumulate several layers of deformation. The results sounded mysterious, hence I've added some bits of music made on my synths to enhance the mood even further."
