David McCoy, a former police officer from Huntsville, Alabama, has been charged with three counts of capital murder in connection with the death of his pregnant girlfriend, Courtney Spraggins, and their unborn child. The two had met on Tinder, but their whirlwind romance quickly turned tragic when McCoy allegedly shot Spraggins in the head outside his apartment. Prosecutors are now seeking the death penalty for McCoy, who had initially tried to claim the victim had committed suicide before confessing to the crime.
