MBS: International Day of Zero waste

Today is the International Day of Zero waste. South Sudan continues to grapple with waste management due to many factors which include people’s attitude towards waste management and the lack of municipal waste collection.  According to UNEP’s first state of environment and outlook report 2018, the collection, transportation and final disposal of both solid and liquid waste are inefficient or non-existent in most of South Sudan.
