Season 1, Episode 1618, Mar 09, 2023, 12:46 PM
Scottish Vision Strategy Conference was organised by leading sight loss charities RNIB Scotland and Sight Scotland and took place in Edinburgh on the 8th of March 2023.
The theme of this year's event was ‘Building the Eyecare Support Pathway in Scotland’ and with over 140 delegates from across health, social care, government, the visual impairment sector, optometry as well as blind and partially sighted people in attendance, the goal was to discuss the main challenges and successes in eye health care across Scotland.
Our Amelia Hilton spoke with Stuart McMillan MSP, Chair of the CPG on Visual Impairment, about his drive to ensure voices of blind and partially sighted people are heard.
Image shows Stuart standing on the left hand side and holding up a blue RNIB Connect Radio microphone as he's interviewed by Amelia. She's holding up a red microphone and they're both smiling as they chat.
