Dundee Contemporary Arts: Soon Come - major exhibition by Matthew Arthur Williams, AD tour

Dundee Contemporary Arts continue their offer for blind and partially sighted people with an audio described tour of a new major solo exhibition by Glasgow based Artist Matthew Arthur Williams titled Soon Come on Thursday 23 February at 6pm. 

Throughout his career Matthew Arthur Williams’ work has developed through close collaboration with others, creating projects that explore visibility, care, love, family, memory, representation and resistance.

This exhibition centres around a newly commissioned film and sound installation with accompanying photographic work, all developed using conversations, interviews and materials from both public and private histories, records and archives.  Drawing together a number of disparate places, Stoke-on-Trent in England and Clarendon in Jamaica which connect to a complex conception of home for Matthew.

RNIB Connect Radio’s Toby Davey was joined by Kay Hamlyn, DCA Exhibitions Assistant  plus artist and describer Juliana Capes who will be leading the live AD tour of Soon Come to find out more about DCA, the work of Matthew Arthur Williams and the up-coming described exhibition tour.
