The Mental Health Collection
Episode 1, Feb 10, 2023, 10:00 AM
Breaking stigmas around mental health, tackling the taboos and creating open and safe spaces for discussion is our goal here at the Mental Health Collective podcast. Together we’ll be discussing everything from the efficacy of medications with experts to how our very own academic institutions can play a vital role in the mental health of students.
Welcome to the first episode of the Mental Health Collective podcast. Today we’ll be joined by guest Lily Whittle, President of the Yoga Society and resident peer supporter. Yoga is a much known and celebrated practice but is it accessible and is it actually therapeutic? We’ll be unpacking the stigma around yoga being only for the enjoyment of ‘yummy mummies’, as well as the benefits of incorporating mindfulness into our daily practices.
