See Cancer Differently Project
Season 1, Episode 1563, Feb 03, 2023, 08:45 AM
The 4th of February is World Cancer Day and in Northern Ireland, RNIB have teamed up with Macmillan Cancer Support in order to tackle some of the barriers to timely cancer support for blind and partially sighted people.
From the symptoms of cancer you might miss if you can't see, to inaccessible health information, this partnership will work to improve the support provided to people with sight loss screening for or experiencing cancer.
RNIB's Joke Kenny finds out more about the See Cancer Differently Project from Gillian Clifford, NHS Engagement manager at RNIB and Sarah Christie, Policy and Public Affairs Manager at Macmillan.
