How to Murder Your Husband - Nancy Brophy

Jan 25, 2023, 01:58 AM

Join us on the next episode of Crime Salad where we explore a case of life imitating art. Romance Writer Nancy Brophy wrote an essay on how to get away with murdering your husband. By all accounts, she was happily married to chef Daniel Brophy at the time. But then Dan who worked as a Chef at the Oregon Culinary Institute as an instructor was found murdered by one of his students. Later surveillance cameras would show Nancy’s van circling the crime scene while she told police she was still in bed. After being arrested she conveniently couldn’t remember what happened during the hour she drove around the murder scene. She chalked up her inconsistencies to shock. However, at the time of her Trial, she testified that she was sure she couldn’t have murdered her husband based on the feelings in her heart.
