It was fifty years ago, that Charles Manson assembled a group of young followers and set up a commune in Southern California. Mirroring the energy of the era, Manson an ex-convict became an aspiring musician who began preaching messages of peace and love. His charisma made it possible for him to attract young followers into his inner circle. But no one could have predicted that some of his peace-loving followers would turn into America’s most horrifying group of cold-blood killers.
