In this week’s ship.energy podcast, Mark Williams catches up again with Jason Miles, CEO of Quadrise Fuels International, along with energy and mobility consultant Vick Boiten Lee, who provided input on Quadrise’s 2022 Sustainability Report.
In this conversation, Jason and Vicky discuss the methodology behind the report and they explain how and why they have applied ESG principles throughout the company. They also provide some guidance on the type of frameworks that can be useful for businesses looking to produce their own sustainability reports to demonstrate their commitment to achieving net-zero.
Vicky is an experienced advisor focused on the energy and mobility sectors. She spent over 20 years at Shell and now works with boards of high-growth companies that have a strong commitment to net-zero. A champion for the low-carbon economy, Vicky previously partnered with renowned polar explorer Robert Swan O.B.E. and his son Barney for the ‘South Pole Energy Challenge’ which saw them attempting to walk to the South Pole supported only by renewable energy.
Vicky is assisting Quadrise in accelerating its journey to net-zero and progression to commercial scale.
Jason Miles spent the first 12 years of his career developing emulsified fuels projects as a Process Engineer for BP, and subsequently for PDVSA as Business Development Manager where he implemented numerous Orimulsion power projects globally.
Jason joined Quadrise in 2006 and now has some 25 years’ technical and commercial experience in the emulsion fuels industry. He is a chartered Chemical Engineer, with an honours degree in Chemical Engineering from Loughborough University, and has an Executive MBA from the Cass Business School in London.
Jason’s first ship.energy podcast, where he discusses the development of Quadrise’s MSAR emulsion fuels and outlines the benefits of their use compared to ‘traditional’ heavy fuel oil and gasoil, can be heard here
