Jesus’ Givenness, Isaiah 9:1–7

Today is the second Sunday of Advent, the season we look back to Christ’s first coming, as a baby born in Bethlehem, and look forward to his second coming when he returns to renew and redeem every part of fallen creation. Today’s message, “Jesus’ Givenness,” is part of an Advent series from Isaiah, entitled “The Gospel According to Isaiah.” In Isaiah 9:1–7 this morning, Pastor Cole will show us how and why Jesus is God’s gift by way of four names in the text: Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, and Prince of Peace.
