Marianne Sciucco & Elizabeth Miller - Healing Ties 2.0.1 - Episode 2

Episode 2,   Dec 06, 2022, 11:00 AM

In each episode, we interview one of our authors who may have written a memoir, caregiver guide, novel, children’s book, activity guide, poetry book, or blog. Their backgrounds are diverse, and their situations vary - it may be someone living with the disease, a caregiver for a loved one at home or in a facility, or a professional carer. All have joined AlzAuthors because dementia impacted their lives and they wish to help others through the disease. Their personal stories offer insight often told through laughter and sometimes tears. Whether you are a caregiver, family member, or living with dementia you’ll find revelations, wisdom, and understanding from decades of caregiving. May one of our authors speak to your experience. Managed by eight volunteers who have all witnessed the loss of a loved one with dementia, AlzAuthors provides access to quality resources that not only answer your questions, but offer knowledge, comfort, and support.

What are memories?  Do our memories make us who we are?  What happens to ‘us’ when our memory fails, and cognitive decline ensues?  Author Patti Callahan Henry discusses.
