The order will not go into effect until Dec. 21. Also, Brazil's President-elect Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva essentially represented his country at the international climate summit in Egypt, although he has yet to take office. His speech today was greeted with a standing ovation. Plus, women’s movements in Afghanistan and Iran look to one another for support and inspiration.
