Season 1, Episode 1463, Nov 09, 2022, 10:10 AM
The annual exhibition of technology and services for blind and partially sighted people, Sight Village South East was back at Kensington Town Hall in London on Tuesday 8 November 2022 and RNIB Connect Radio’s Toby Davey was there soaking up the atmosphere and chatting with some of the exhibitors.
Toby was joined by Ed Rogers from Bristol Braille Technology to talk about the Canute Console, a Braille prototype workstation for blind people involved in computer science, computer programming and also playing tactile computer games, how the device revolutionises reading tables and spreadsheets plus bar graphs in Braille and also the opportunity to play video computer games such as snakes in Braille too!
As Ed says if you would like to find out more about helping to develop the Canute Console or just want to find out more about Bristol Braille Technology then do visit their website - https://bristolbraille.org
