The annual exhibition of technology and services for blind and partially sighted people, Sight Village South East was back at Kensington Town Hall in London on Tuesday 8 November 2022 and RNIB Connect Radio’s Toby Davey was there soaking up the atmosphere and chatting with some of the exhibitors.

Toby caught up with Dr Jordi M Asher a vision scientist from the University of Essex who is one of the people behind the development of AReye software and glasses which will help to improve the quality of life for people with visual field loss by using augmented reality to increase visual awareness and enable safer mobility for people with visual field loss.
The AReye software platform built for use within Augmented Reality headsets will provide the user with a live stream from their blind field.
