Dad Attempts To Drown His Daughter At Summer Camp | Fear Thy Family

A 42-year-old man "lied his way" into a guarded location and tried to drown his daughter.
The San Bernardino County Sheriff's Department Twin Speaks Station was dispatched to Pali Mountain Camp in Running Springs on Oct. 25 for a drowning report. Timothy Shipman allegedly tried to drown his 2-year-old daughter at camp. His 5-year-old son was allegedly confined in the car.
Pali Mountain Camp workers removed the youngsters from Shipman until deputies came.
The 2-year-old girl and her sibling were taken to a hospital and are stable. Shipman was taken to a hospital and released to officers, according to the sheriff's office.
Shipman was jailed at the Central Detention Center for attempted murder. His $1 million bail.
"We were glad to discover today that the victim is recovering and in stable condition," Pali Mountain Camp told KTLA-TV. "We commend the Running Springs emergency services for their rapid reaction yesterday."
The camp was "proud" of how its personnel handled the matter.
