Dine, Dash and Murder! | Fear Thy Family
Episode 18, Oct 30, 2022, 09:00 AM
A 28-year-old woman is in jail on charges of murdering her mother, 62, after she allegedly dined and dashed at an airport Chili's last month.
The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department stated in a press statement that at 2:34 a.m. on October 26, officers were dispatched to a residence in the 10100 block of June Flower Drive on a report of an injured resident. A woman with several cuts was reportedly located by police and pronounced dead at the site.
As the inquiry progressed, Hend Bustami, the victim's daughter, was revealed to be a person of interest. The California Highway Patrol reportedly located and arrested Bustami in Barstow shortly after.
She is said to be waiting to be extradited back to Las Vegas, where she will be charged with first-degree murder.
The identify of the deceased and the circumstances surrounding their death will be released by the Clark County Coroner's Office, according to the police.
Bustami allegedly ate at the Las Vegas airport Chili's before the murder and fled without paying. She became "belligerent with policemen" and said that she was being harassed because "cops [had] never seen somebody as attractive as her."
The police officers "never saw somebody this good-looking," so Bustami allegedly warned she would "spit on all" of them if they tried to rape her.
