Man Strangles Ex-Wife In Jealous Rage | Fear Thy Family
Episode 17, Oct 28, 2022, 09:00 AM
A 37-year-old man was sentenced to over 60 years for torturing and killing his ex-girlfriend in 2020.
Mary Grubb, 27, went to Christopher Allison's home in November 2020 so their 2-year-old daughter could visit him.
Grubb's body was found wrapped in a pickup truck bed with serious injuries to her throat, neck, and head on Nov. 25, 2020, WXIN-TV reports. Prosecutors alleged Allison planned to burn and bury Grubb's body.
WXIN says Allison was envious of Grubb's new lover and strangled him with his belt. Allison apparently let Grubb regain consciousness twice while strangling her so he could read her boyfriend's text messages.
The homicide happened "within hearing" of their 2-year-old daughter.
WXIN says a witness recorded Allison discussing moving Grubb's body, possible alibis, and the last time he saw Grubb. Allison apparently mentioned in the recording that Grubb's necklace was broken.
Records say Allison was arrested on Nov. 26, 2020.
Allison was sentenced to 60 years for murder and two years for neglecting a dependent on Oct. 21. Allison's guilty plea dismissed strangling, attempted murder, obstruction of justice, and intimidation charges.
