The power of confidently speaking English as a second language with Ellie Caudwell Casey

Ellie Caudwell Casey strongly believes that great English has the power to change your life and today she talks today about the importance of being able to speak well.
Ellie is the owner of Ellie English, where she supports adult professionals who speak English as a second language with their fluency and language confidence.
Through her background as a teacher and her membership, she has built her business around helping others to improve their spoken language, to both blend in and feel comfortable during conversations.
Ellie is a self-described “huge introvert” and speaking in front of big audiences did not come naturally to her. She had to learn skills that so many of her peers found easy but because of these experiences, it is her honest opinion that the skills needed to succeed in any type of speaking are very similar:
- you need to structure your language
- you need to understand your audience
- you need to anticipate things not going to plan
- you need a goal.
This is where she helps.
Ellie also talks about her journey into self-employment and the challenges she had around getting her business to this point.
