Connect Voices Round Up 19 October 2022
Season 1, Episode 1429, Oct 19, 2022, 08:00 AM
Clare Aldworth, RNIB Voice of the Customer Insight Officer shares the latest opportunities for blind and partially sighted people to get involved in with RNIB Connect Radio’s Toby Davey.
Opportunities highlighted this week included:
The last few metres: getting where you need to go
RNIB are looking into how to make it easier for blind and partially sighted people to reach their exact destination. For example, getting from a taxi parked at the curb to a lobby entrance, or locating the right door for the building you are visiting.
RNIB is running a series of one-to-one interviews to understand what challenges come up in the last few metres of a journey and get your thoughts on what a solution might look like.
Are you currently in secondary education or at university?
If so, the RNIB would love to speak to you about your experience of education as a blind or partially sighted young person.
Please get in touch with the RNIB Stories Library.
Have you been diagnosed with cataracts? Take part in a research study and earn £60
The RNIB has recently been contacted by Rebecca, a recruiter at Exafield UK. Exafield are medical market researchers, they are conducting a study on behalf of a healthcare company and they are looking to speak to patients diagnosed with cataracts and who have been referred for surgery on the NHS.
They are keen to hear from people who have been referred to Eye Health Clinic and Surgical Centres in; Shrewsbury, Ipswich, Norwich, Northampton, Bristol, Gloucestershire, Teesside, Lincoln and Leeds.
