In 1990 Helsinki police re-opened a ten-year-old murder investigation and eventually unmasked a serial killer and arsonist, Ismo Junni.
In 1990, emergency services in Helsinki were contacted by a young man who asked the police to re-investigate a death from ten years before. The caller claimed that although his mother’s death was ruled an accident, he believed his father had killed her. The case was re-opened and investigators unearthed so much more than just one murder… Ismo Junni was a violent serial killer who kept a tooth from each victim as a trophy.
