The Clerigos Tower jazz quartet

Clerigos Tower bells reimagined by Cities and Memory.
What if we reimagined the sound of pealing bells as a jazz quartet?
For this composition, we've taken the sonic data from the sound of the Clerigos Tower's daily melodic performances and converted it into MIDI notes. With a little cleaning up, those notes were used to build a fictional jazz quartet of guitar, bass and drums. The guitar and basslines from this piece are entirely controlled by the MIDI from the original bell melodies, and the final applause comes from a field recording of a New York jazz club - introducing the Clerigos Tower jazz quartet.
