We’re back for SEASON 3 and to kick off our first episode we were joined by actor and director Brady Corbet, star of hit indie movies Thirteen, Simon Killer and Mysterious Skin. Brady also starred as Alan Tracy in Thunderbirds and is best known for his role as Derek Huxley in hit TV show 24, alongside Kiefer Sutherland.
Brady joined us to talk about his movie career; from child actor in TV and film to film directing. Hear what influenced Brady to pursue his love of film and how he was able to work with some of his filmmaking heroes including Lars Von Trier and Michael Haneke.
Brady talks about how he left acting to become a filmmaker, how his own experiences of auditioning for roles as a child have influenced how he casts for his movies, why he often works with the same people and why he wishes he could make even smaller budget indie movies.
Hear how he shot Vox Lux in 22 days and why he wanted Sia to write the music for the movie, starring Natalie Portman and Jude Law. Brady talks about the importance of music in his films and why he always has a musical concept in mind from the script stage and so much more.
