Robbo's Pet Project Jul 21

Jul 20, 2022, 11:02 PM

Thursday is Robbo's Pet Project...this week we we want to address the high amount of animals being surrended...it truly is reaching crisis proportions...In many cases there are real and compelling reasons, as is the case with Ricky, but not always, as we will talk to Ben about this.
Now to Ricky, a beautiful almost 2 year old Irish wolfhound...
Ricky found himself at BARC after sadly losing his owner, and is now seeking his new forever home where he can be apart of the family and be around his people!
Not having much training in the past, Ricky is needing someone who is willing to put in the time to teach this boy some basic commends. Once he has learnt the basic he will soon be getting you that beer out of the shed fridge, Taking Ricky to dog obedience training would be great for him so he can have the socialisation with other dogs and people.
Ricky is a real outdoor loving dog, Hiking or runs in the bush would be the ideal environment for him, he would probably jump in the water if he was to go on a boat or disturb the fish why out fishing but it would all be In good fun!!
Such a loveable lad that just wants to be hanging out cooking BBQ or at night having a sleep in your bed all snuggled up to him human.
Ricky gets on well with other dogs, however he hasn't been around very many dogs so would need another dog that is able to deal with dogs in their faces and can show Ricky how to play but also how to relax in the sun chewing/playing with a dog toy and just how to love his new life.
A home with Large breed experience to be able to help this boy become the bestest boy he can be, a training background would be a bonus as well.
If you think Ricky would suit your household then please give BARC a call on 54412209 and book in for a meet and greet.
