The State of Medicines at the Pharmacy…

With many problems around the supply of medicines being highlighted in the news recently including the issues around the supply of HRT, for this week’s check-in with Elizabeth Roddick from New Life Pharmacy in Glasgow we thought it would be a good time to find out what the potential issues might be around the supply of medicines and what measures are being done to ensure that medicines don’t run out. 

Elizabeth began with a quick note regarding the allocation of sunscreens following on from the last checkin before talking about those recent issues around the supply of HRT and the new ‘serious shortage protocol’ rules which have been put in place to ensure that medicines don’t run out. 

Elizabeth then gave some reassuring words about what is  being done at the Pharmacy to ensure that there are always a good supply of medicines Available on the Pharmacy shelves

Finally Elizabeth talked about a recent published medical article around some potential problems with a specific diabetic medicine.
