Ibiza : The Reset Rebel meets legendary House music vocalist Peyton

This week, we received a visit from ex-island resident, Peyton. 

The US house singer and legendary vocalist got stuck here during lockdown at his home in Sa Caleta and told me how it was for him - a period of falling in love with the nature of Ibiza in a way he never had  the time to do before, or the mental space to create such a connection to.  

He has now moved to Germany to be with his husband, but he made time on a fleeting visit to the island to pop in and see us at our Hub studios for an interview to talk about a new project. 

REVIVAL is the name of a brand new music project which launches this summer, with releases of house reworks that celebrate some of our best known classics, with a view to bringing the old spirit of Ibiza back to the forefront of dance music events both here and globally. 

Peyton got his start performing his now-classic house anthemsat institutions like El Divino back in the day for nights like Hed Kandi, and recalls soundtracking sunrise as the big golden ball used to rise out of the Balearic Sea. Revival Records have been recording at Abbey Road Studios in London, the oldest purpose-built studio in the world, and in this chat Peyton gives Jo a full breakdown of how the label came to be, which has some of dance music’s biggest names and vocalists on board.
