The Roundtable: Dredging of the Naam/Bahr el Ghazal River

Ministry of Water and Irrigation recently announced the dredging of the Naam/Bahr el Ghazal River to open waterways blocked by sediment and aquatic weeds.  Contrary to what the Ministry considers a quick solution to flooding in the area, the public have expressed mixed feelings about it. What really is the story behind this matter?
