Shadows of Jesus in the Ark of the Covenant

The Ark of the Covenant was to hold a special place in the eyes of Israel; it was the representation that God had entered into a holy agreement with them and, as a result, lived among them. Though they failed to appreciate this unique relationship with God, God was not finished! He looked forward to the day when He would have people who would recognize Him as their God, giving Him the love and honor of which He is worthy. He has found these people in those who confess the name of His Son. Through the Ark of the Covenant, shadows were given that demonstrated the relationship the Son of God would have with His people.
