Group Therapy: The Dog Dilemma

Josh is in a serious relationship. Talking marriage and kids. Here is the issue. They both have dogs. His dog is trained, hers is not. She doesn't recognize this is a problem & said that once a kid comes along, the dog will bond and everything will be fine. What's he do?
