The Reset Rebel meets Ex Pro Belgian Basketball player Pieter Loridon
Episode 113, Apr 15, 2022, 04:00 AM
REBOUND is the theme of todays episode, as we catch up with Ex-pro Belgian Basketball player Pieter Loridon.
The Antwerp star, who now lives some of the year in Ibiza, has not been written about favourably in the press of late after infecting himself with Covid deliberately to get a recovery certificate to travel in January.
But as he talks about the incident for the first time on the Reset Rebel, he tells Jo he does not care what is written about him and that his detachment from the media as well as much of the negativity he has encountered through his life, has brought him to realise, that Nothing Beats Love. Nothing.
He has had to learn to rebound both on and off the court and fought hard to gain his place in the Belgian national team after being told at 16 he was too fat to compete.
He worked hard to reach his goals professionally as a pro baller and believes resilience comes from having nothing but good intentions and moving away from negative energies that he feels the media and recent times have created.
His hard working ethic comes from his father, also a Basket Ball pro and he explains how it felt growing up as the son of a famous player, already in the spotlight and how working double as hard shaped his framework for life, in what he calls a very privileged up bringing.
Pieter is also into intermittent fasting as his father suffered Alzheimers dementia and sadly passed away from it three years ago .
His Tea company Cafe Couture was born from that exploration and he now works alongside his son sharing his Match moments worldwide.
