Daily Dose @ 5: Police receive 35 reports of M'sians stranded overseas, Death toll from tropical storm Megi rises

AMONG the headlines for, Bukit Aman Criminal Investigation Department director Datuk Seri Abd Jalil Hassan earlier today said that police have received 35 reports, involving 45 Malaysians, believed to be stranded in countries such as in Myanmar, Thailand and Laos.
Also, rescue efforts were hampered by mud and rain today, as the death toll from tropical storm Megi rose to 27.
The storm that swept through the central and southern areas of the Philippines over the weekend also displaced about 30,000 families, some of whom were moved to emergency shelters.
