Provide protection to retain girls in school - Angelina Teny, Minister of defense and veterans’ affairs.

The minister of defense and veterans’ affairs has called for the education of girls and women to break the bias in society.  

Speaking during commemorations of the international women’s day at Nyakuron cultural center this afternoon, Angelina Teny says government must provide protection to retain girls in school.

In a separate development, Teny reaffirms government’s commitment to an action plan aimed at addressing conflict-related violence within the security sector.

She says sexual violence within the organized forces will never be condoned.
