Sheri Hudspeth - Girls Hockey Manager & Head Coach at Vegas Jr. Golden Knights

Daren is joined by Sheri Hudspeth of the Vegas Jr. Golden Knights to talk about her role in growing girl's hockey in Las Vegas. She takes Daren through her journey that started as a young hockey player in Toronto and has taken her to Minnesota, Pennsylvania and now Las Vegas. She talks about the importance of providing girls with the same hockey experience that traditionally is reserved for boys and discusses the challenges and joys that have come with her role in Las Vegas. She looks back and explains who some of her mentors were and talks about how some of her past experiences has helped shape her coaching philosophy and growth strategy in Las Vegas. She talks about what long-term success looks like from her perspective and provides some interesting thoughts on some of the challenges that face Women's hockey right now. She shares some opinions on what needs to happen in order for a professional women's hockey league to flourish and explains some of the issues that she believes will ultimately be overcome regarding women's professional hockey.
