Daily Dose @ 5: COVID-19 cases in Malaysia goes up to 32,070, Families in despair as HK zero COVID policy may separate families

AMONG the headlines for Friday, February 25, 2022, Malaysia reported a continuous rise with COVID-19 cases logged at 32,070 in the last 24 hours.

According to the Ministry of Health there are 209 new imported cases, with 31,861 being local transmissions.

A total of 23,332 patients recovered and discharged, while about 46 COVID-related deaths were reported.

Also, Hong Kong authorities enforce dynamic zero COVID policy, 
with anyone testing positive for COVID-19, including infants and children, are put into isolation facilities with no family contact allowed.

Authorities said they are unable to accommodate parents staying with infected infants as hospitals are overwhelmed at maximum or over capacity with nearly 10,000 new daily infections reported.
