Episode 1868, Feb 22, 2022, 12:33 PM
As South Sudan marks the second anniversary since the formation of the Revitalized Transitional Government of National Unity, the Reconstituted Joint Monitoring and Evaluation Commission R-JMEC says it is expecting a roadmap from the R-TGoNU that would map out planned activities to tackle before the end of the transition period.
The interim chairperson of R-JMEC, retired Gen Charles Tai Gituai says the R-TGoNU bears the responsibility of fully implementing the agreement by the end of the transition period on the 22nd of February next year. Gen Gituai says the strategy expected from the R-TGoNU should state clearly how the parties will build on progress to meet the deadlines.
He spoke to Lucy Kiden and Sebit William on the Miraya breakfast show this morning.
