Central Equatoria State Minister of Local Government weighs in on bride price

Traditional Chiefs have been urged to help reduce the bride price. The call comes after a Customary law ascertainment and review workshop that attracted the participation of traditional chiefs from Yei, lanya and Morobo counties of Central Equatoria. The Workshop resolved that the act would restore culture as opposed to distorting bride price and turning it into a business opportunity, as is the norm nowadays. This morning, Miraya breakfast featured Moro Isaac Jenesio, Minister Local Government for Central Equatoria State.
