Buckinghamshire Healthcare Trust’s AMD Suite Celebrates it’s 5th Year Anniversary

In the autumn of 2021 Buckingham Healthcare Trust celebrated the 5 year anniversary of the set up of their AMD Suite supporting people with Age Related Macular Degeneration by both holding an event and posting up a number of videos to their YouTube channel to celebrate their 5 year anniversary and also to raise awareness of AMD.  

Connect Radio’s Toby Davey was joined by Denise Voon, Principal and Research Optometrist and Marcus Groppe, Consultant Ophthalmologist from Buckinghamshire Health Care Trust to find out more about the set up of the AMD Suite and the celebrations too!

Marcus began by outlining how the AMD Suite was set up and the services that they offer to people with Age Related Macular Degeneration and the support they provide to their friends and family. 

Denise talked about the event they put on last autumn to celebrate their 5th anniversary as well as some background to the YouTube videos that they posted showcasing both how people with AMD can still enjoy life and continue to take part in the things they used to do before being diagnosed with AMD as well as raising awareness about AMD.
